PHYSIOTHERAPY AND SPORTS INJURY CLINICS:
With JANE WHINNEY & ASSOCIATES. MCSP SRP
Physiotherapy is well-known for its proven ability to help rehabilitate those who have been injured, or who suffer from chronic pain or disability.
A great many conditions can be vastly improved with the skilful application of Physiotherapy, providing great relief for those with back or neck pain, sports injuries, work-related problems, arthritis and of course, rehabilitation after an illness, accident or operation.
As a highly experienced, Chartered Physiotherapist, Jane Whinney approaches your health issues with two distinct aims: 1): To attempt an immediate improvement in your condition, and 2): To provide long-term protection.
To achieve this, Jane uses a broad range of techniques, from 'hands on' treatment such as massage, manipulation, mobilisation, acupuncture, ultrasound and hydrotherapy, to personalised exercises , stretching and ergonomic advice. She is also qualified to provide a full biomechanical assessment and diagnosis , providing you with highly useful information contributing towards a prognosis.
Another of Jane's major Physiotherapy roles is to help you look at the underlying causes of a health problem, so as to help prevent any recurrence . This proves invaluable in her work with sports people , and also of course in general practice with the public.
Jane is a Chartered Physiotherapist, with extensive NHS experience as well as experience in treating sports injuries. Herself a keen runner, she has worked for many years with international sports people and is a UK Athletics Recommended Practitioner.
