SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY is
beneficial to sports people and athletes, as well as the general
public, as many similar strains and stresses can occur through
activities and occupations outside of the sporting arena.
Sports Massage Therapy is a deep muscular massage which helps break down the build up of toxins which can cause tightness and pains in the muscles. Sports Massage is aimed at the individual, taking into account their sport, training and specific needs. It helps keep muscles healthy, toned and relaxed, especially when training hard, thus decreasing the likelihood of injury.
PRE-SPORT massage is beneficial when
preparing someone for an event; it helps stimulate blood flow,
allowing muscles to work for longer and more efficiently, which
will help prepare the body/sport person for the exertion ahead.
POST-SPORT massage is equally important
to treat fatigued muscles after tension and stress, improving
the recovery time. It also allows a focused period to detect
any possible problem areas.
MUSCLE INJURIES WHETHER SPORT RELATED
OR IN EVERYDAY LIFE, CAN BE TREATED BY MASSAGE, HELPING THE
MUSCLES TO RECOVER QUICKER, AND REDUCING THE CHANCE OF INJURY.
